Lisa Singer is the Founder, Editor-in-Chief, and Host of Independent Times News and its podcast. She is an Independent Voter who left both major parties behind.
A trailblazer in the tech industry, Lisa became the first woman in America to own and operate a Managed Service Provider (MSP). With more than 27 years of experience in IT, she brings a rigorous, data-driven engineering mindset to civic media.
After a lifetime as a Democrat, Lisa stepped away from the party when she saw that the modern political landscape had abandoned the moderate majority. She is now on a mission to educate, advocate, and empower Independent Voters to have a purpose and a place within our polarized political landscape.
Through Independent Times News, she is committed to cutting through media noise, bypassing partisan spin, and delivering clear, factual, actionable insights for Independents who value truth over team loyalty.
Leyla Gulen is a co-host and contributor for Independent Times News and its podcast. An award-winning journalist and communications professional with over 20 years of broadcast experience, Leyla currently anchors and hosts programming on FOX 24 News Now in Charleston, South Carolina.
Throughout her distinguished career in television news, Leyla has earned a reputation for dynamic interviewing, sharp political insight, and an unyielding commitment to honest, transparent journalism.
Together with the Independent Times News team, Leyla is on a mission to deliver the objective, balanced, and deeply researched analysis that empowers independent thinkers to look at today's news through a truly Independent lens.
