THE MISSION
You don't belong to a party. So what's your role in our politics? Independent Times News exists to answer that question and to turn the news into power for Independent voters.
Today, a record 45% of Americans identify as Independent, making us the largest voting bloc in the nation. Yet the major parties treat politics like a war, and everyone who refuses to enlist gets ignored. We didn't leave the two parties. They left us.
So we built our own home, and a sharper way to vote.
Navigating long ballots and endless spin without a party line is exhausting. We do that heavy lifting for you. Every story we cover delivers the unspun facts, the specific impact on Independent voters, and the concrete next step you can take. No homework. Just clarity.
An Independent who votes with that clarity is no longer a spectator trapped between the lesser of two evils. You become the swing, the check, and the force both sides must earn.
What we ask of our leaders is only what we already expect of ourselves. In our families and workplaces, we know progress requires compromise and cooperation, so why should we accept less from the people we elect? Let's reward the candidates who want to work across the aisle, and make that the only path to victory.
That is how a divided nation heals: not when one party finally wins, but when solving problems is the only way to win at all. We are building a country that functions again, one story at a time.

THE DREAM
An America where every citizen enjoys freedom from want and freedom from fear. A nation that has broken the cycle of gridlock by replacing bitterness and division with stability, shared purpose, and lasting progress. Citizens renewed, once again believing in their vote, their leaders, their economy, and each other.
THE ISSUE
Both parties are locked in a partisan fight that blocks real progress for the nation, leaving voters frustrated and seeking change. Every election, Independents swing power from one side to the other, delivering short-term shifts but no lasting results.
The problem is structural:

Closed primaries empower extremes.

Unlimited donor money lets politicians prioritize big donors and special interests over everyday Americans.

Compromise is punished, gridlock rewarded.
While the middle is shut out, Washington stays stuck. Independents are tired of broken promises and of parties loyal to donors rather than to citizens.
THE STRATEGY
Independents haven't refused a permanent party label out of indecision. We've refused it on purpose. A label locks you in and tells a party they already own your vote, so they stop working for it.
Staying Independent keeps us free, and that freedom is leverage.
Not bound to either side, Independents can judge every issue on its merits, hold both parties to the same standard, and make our vote the prize they have to earn. That's the strategy:

Withhold our vote from the extremes on both sides.
United as one bloc, Independents can force compromise, lift up problem-solvers, and leave the partisan fringes nowhere to win. We don't care who gets the credit. We care that the country gets results.

Why I Founded Independent Times News
The Founding Fathers were brilliant engineers of liberty. They designed the Constitution and immediately reinforced it with the Bill of Rights. Since then, We the People have amended that code 17 more times to keep the system strong.
But today, our democracy is struggling. According to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Democracy Index, the United States has fallen from "full democracy" status and now ranks 34th globally.
For 27 years, I worked as a systems engineer, designing and upgrading complex networks. When a system failed, I didn’t just hope for the best; I upgraded the architecture. I’m now applying that same practical, problem-solving mindset to our democracy.
As an Independent voter, I see clearly that the partisan duopoly has become extreme, unresponsive, and disconnected from everyday Americans. Like millions of others, I felt politically homeless while the country remained stuck in gridlock. In today’s polarized media landscape, it is nearly impossible to find straightforward news without pressure to pick a team, blame, and demonize the other side for our nation's issues.
That’s why I founded Independent Times News.
I am working to bring together the record 45% of Independent voters, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose to upgrade our democracy. Free from partisan loyalty, our voting bloc is in the perfect position to advocate for a real system reboot, one that delivers lasting progress.
Through our podcast, newsroom daily dispatches, and social media updates, we fill important coverage gaps, provide essential context, and equip Independent voters with the objective information they need to help restore America to full democracy status.
